Welcome to the Parishes of
St. John Lee, and Warden with Newbrough
in the Diocese of Newcastle
Our Pattern of Worship
Sunday services in our two parishes are at 8.30am Said Holy Communion, and 10.00am Sung Eucharist.
We alternate Sunday by Sunday between the parishes and between the churches in the parishes.
1st Sunday of the month 8.30am St. John Lee and 10.00am Newbrough
2nd Sunday of the month 8.30am Warden and 10.00am St. John Lee
3rd Sunday of the month 8.30am St. John Lee and 10.00am Warden
4th Sunday of the month 8.30am Newbrough and 10.00am Newbrough
If there is a fifth Sunday in the month we alternate the early and main services between St. John Lee and Fourstones.
On the 3rd Sunday of the month between Easter and Christmas there is a service of Holy Communion at Stagshaw.
Services at Warden are always BCP at the other churches they are Common Worship unless otherwise stated.
- 10 am on Wednesday Said Holy Communion followed by coffee at St John Lee.
- Morning is said at 9 am Mon – Sat at St. John Lee and at 4.30 pm Mon – Fri at St Aidan Fourstones
Services for Feasts and Festivals
Details of services for the major festivals will be notified on the main service list. For lesser festivals and other red letter days these will also be notified on the main service list.

Registers going back to about 1980 are kept in church.
